The Journey of Jah Thunder

Born Omar O’Neil Bolt in Cassia Park, Kingston 10, Jah Thunder grew up surrounded by music, culture, and community. Inspired by his cousin Capleton, he began performing at school concerts and neighborhood parties, discovering early that reggae was not just entertainment it was a calling.

In 1993, Jah Thunder embraced Rastafari, a turning point that gave deeper meaning to his voice and lyrics. Four years later, he recorded his first single, Go Suh Badda Badda, for African Star Records marking the start of a lifelong mission to spread conscious music.
Over the years, Jah Thunder has performed around the world with artists such as Capleton, Jah Mason, and Jah Cure. His songs like Rich Summer, Mankind Mean, and One Day continue to remind listeners that music is a message of hope and unity.
At Jah Thunder Roll, the mission is simple: to share music that uplifts the spirit, tells real stories, and keeps the fire of reggae burning bright.
